Easter Baskets

For many years, Easter baskets were put together by stores or companies and then sold on the shelves of department stores, grocery stores, drug stores, and specialty shops. These were made for children and contained mostly candy such as chocolate bunnies and jelly beans. A couple of inexpensive toys were also included to separate the boys’ baskets from the girls’.

There are many different kinds of baskets these days and they are not all just for kids. Teenagers and adults also enjoy receiving baskets on Easter. This is why they are now customized or made by someone who cares about you. Easter baskets can be very personalized when someone is making them. They will include favorite candies as well as items that a person will enjoy.

Suppose you know someone who really loves gardening. A unique Easter basket for that person is a planter containing flower seeds, various small gardening tools, and other items that can be used in a flower garden. This can be adjusted according to what type of gardening the person enjoys.

A book lover will love a basket full of paperbacks by their favorite writers. These should be new ones that have just come out on the market. Easter baskets like this can also include some cool bookmarks, a small reading light, and some favorite candy. These are always a hit with readers.

An artist, or budding artist, would love a basket holding art supplies. Tubes of paint, brushes, sketch pad, and any other things you can find to put in it will be really appreciated. For people who enjoy art but don’t have any real talent, there are always paint by number sets, which will also need a set of great brushes, possibly more paints, and anything else that can just be created from a kit.

Even pets love Easter baskets. They may not fully understand what a basket is, but they will certainly understand that there are treats and toys in it for them. Pets need to know they are loved and appreciated, so holidays are a wonderful time to show them extra special attention with some very personalized gifts with them in mind.

These are typically much nicer and prettier than those pre-made baskets you will find on sale everywhere. Go ahead and let your imagination out. Put a big smile on someone’s face next Easter!
